Principal Certification: Testing Schedule
Certification Testing
The State Board for Educator Certification requires that each candidate for principal certification takes
and passes the TExES certification test. Prior to registering for a test, candidates must obtain test
approval from  . Candidates will register
for the certification test online at www.texes.ets.org.
Certification Testing
Participants should plan to take the Principal test upon completion of the instructional modules and the
Comprehensive Review, IPAC 1008. Test approval for the Principal test is not released until the candidate
has successfully completed the instructional modules and the Comprehensive Review and the Instructional
fees have been paid. The state provided study guide for the test is available at
www.texes.ets.org.
Test Approval
The test approval request form will be available on instructNET approximately three weeks prior to the
program registration deadline.
2005 -2006 TExES/ExCET Administration Dates
Internet Registration. You may register via the Internet at any time, 24 hours daily, seven days a
week, during all registration periods (i.e., regular, late, and emergency). Internet registration periods
end promptly at 5:00 p.m. (central time) on the dates of the regular, late, and emergency registration
deadlines listed below.
